FAQ What are you looking for? We want to feel like we're reading a story we've never seen before - or even a fresh take on a common theme. Surprise us! Can I submit my work via snail mail? No. We no longer accept paper submissions. Please use our electronic submission feature. Can I expect to receive comments aboutmy work? Our best answer is "sometimes." If we have specific comments about your story, and if we have a few minutes to write them down, we will absolutely let you know what we think. Unfortunately, the number of submissions precludes us from commenting on most manuscripts. Do you publish new writers? Yes! We read all work equally, meaning that we are not concerned with a writer's resume. We are, quite simply, looking for the best stories and poems in the submission pool, regardless of the background of the contributor. Is a cover letter required? No. Feel free to attach one if you like. However, as the quality of the submission is our only criteria in selecting stories, it is likely that we will not read your cover letter until after we have made a decision in regards to your work. How long will it take to hear back fromyou about my submission? It can take as little as a few weeks oras long as a few months. Like most journals, we recieve hundreds of submissions. Our response time is dependent on the time of year and where we are in our production schedule. We respect writers and we read every story we recieve with care. Please be patient!
