In celebration of our magnificent state, the 151st edition of Reed Magazine is dedicated to California and everything it represents. These pages honor the beauty, heritage, and diversity of the Golden State with nonfiction pieces by Pulitzer Prize–winner William Finnegan, and acclaimed travel writer and editor Don George. Also, fiction by PEN/Faulkner–winner T. C. Boyle, and a special tribute to National Book Award–winner Ursula K. Le Guin. These established voices are joined by new and emerging writers and artists whose multifarious styles epitomize the life and legacy of the nation’s sunset coast.
